Your Role - How You Will Contribute: In alignment with our mission and values, the Resident Engagement Coordinator will oversee daily operations within our apartment communities, which include various housing programs. This role is pivotal in fostering a collaborative team environment focused on prioritizing resident needs, ensuring a welcoming and secure community atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of leasing agents and maintenance staff, ensuring high levels of engagement and exceptional service for our residents.
  • Maintain optimal occupancy rates (minimum 98%).
  • Oversee move-out processes in compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct timely inspections of units and common areas.
  • Review and approve rental applications.
  • Ensure timely collection and deposit of all community revenues.
  • Audit resident files for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Manager to address audit findings.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with community owners and residents.
  • Manage community invoices and supply inventory.
  • Process payroll for community staff.
  • Complete required reports for regulatory agencies and company standards.
  • Ensure the community meets company standards for quality and safety.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
About You:
  • You possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • You have at least 1 year of experience in residential property management, with knowledge of HUD/Section 8 being a significant advantage. Alternatively, you may have 3 years of experience in a general management role with strong leadership and process management skills.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Teams; experience with Yardi or similar software is a plus.
  • You demonstrate strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
  • You are a proactive communicator and engaged in your work.
  • You have a keen eye for detail and quality, meeting deadlines effectively.
  • You hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Certifications such as COS, LIHTC, HCCP, or AHM are advantageous, and you will have opportunities to obtain these as an associate.
