Job Description

The Director of Development will be responsible for driving revenue growth, ensuring customer satisfaction, and strategically partnering with our clients to execute their solar strategies. This role will involve developing and maintaining relationships with C-suite and key decision-makers at large commercial and industrial companies, understanding clients' solar needs, and providing tailored solar solutions to meet those needs.

  • Strategic Account Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, understand their solar needs, and provide tailored solar solutions.
  • Business Development: Help develop a comprehensive solar strategy for our key clients, expand our coverage of their asset portfolio, and collaborate with Policy, Sales Analytics/Enablement, and Marketing teams to align client approach to our company strategy.
  • Customer Engagement: Prepare proposals and presentations of partnership opportunities with Solar Landscape, provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process, address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Market Monitoring: Collaborate with in-house Policy and Sales Analytics/Enablement teams to stay informed about policy changes, industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.

This role requires a self-starter with deep experience in managing client relationships, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong leadership abilities. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, project development, or management consulting. Leadership ability and comfort driving high-visibility projects are essential for this role.
