Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Kisco Senior Living. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for supervising and planning the preparation of high-quality food to promote an excellent dining atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of creatively designed menus that cater to the diverse tastes and dietary needs of our residents.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create new dishes that appeal to our residents and meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Assist in organizing the kitchen and scheduling to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, adhering to the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Train and develop new kitchen associates to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to excel in their roles.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
- Minimum 1-3 years of cooking experience in a senior living or hospitality setting.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
