Education and Experience Requirements
A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory. A minimum of 4 years in Aviation Maintenance is required, including 3 years of experience with mid to large-sized aircraft. Experience with corporate aircraft is preferred. An FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate is necessary. A valid Driver's License is also required. Position Purpose: To independently execute a range of aircraft modifications and maintenance tasks, including the removal and installation of airframes, landing gear, engine components, electrical systems, and control systems, ensuring adherence to procedures, performance, and testing specifications.Job Overview
Key Responsibilities: Conduct periodic maintenance and necessary servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems, demonstrating the ability to consistently complete assigned maintenance tasks within the standard CMP time. Provide guidance to assigned technicians, promoting high-quality standards through instruction and exemplary conduct. Assume the responsibilities of the Mechanical Team Lead (MTL) in their absence. Collaborate with the Inspection department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements. Complete work order sign-offs, shift turnovers, and other paperwork promptly, ensuring all work meets quality standards. Properly identify and secure customer property and equipment, ensuring safe storage of aircraft components. Adhere to standard operating procedures and JSAs when operating ground support equipment, including power supply, hydraulic rigs, nitrogen filler carts, and oxygen service carts. Supervise the use of special support equipment for major component removals and installations. Coordinate aircraft movements as necessary. Assist in training new employees on the computerized maintenance program (CMP), maintenance manuals, SRMs illustrated parts catalog (IPC) usage, flight test installations, and maintenance of major components. Work with other departments to arrange for the overhaul or repair of customer property as required. Additional Responsibilities: Utilize the material tracking system to create parts demand and charge labor to the appropriate work orders. Implement 6S and Lean Initiatives to maintain cleanliness and organization in shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas. Properly dispose of waste fuel, oil, hydraulic fluids, de-icing fluids, and solvent rags. Apply Lean and continuous improvement processes across all areas of responsibility. Use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment, returning items to designated storage after use. May include flight tests on aircraft in support of certification and final phase testing as required. Perform other assigned duties.Other Requirements
Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems. Proficient understanding of relevant technical reference materials (maintenance manuals, IPCs, Service Bulletins, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, etc.). Familiarity with FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language proficiently.Additional Information
