A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory. A minimum of 4 years in Aviation Maintenance is required, including 3 years specifically on mid to large-sized aircraft. Experience with corporate aircraft is preferred. A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate is essential. A valid Driver's License is also required. Role Objective : To independently execute a range of aircraft modifications and maintenance tasks, including the removal and installation of airframes, landing gear, engine parts, electrical systems, and control mechanisms, ensuring adherence to procedures, performance metrics, and testing standards.

Job Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: Conduct necessary periodic maintenance and servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems, demonstrating the ability to consistently complete assigned maintenance tasks within the established or standard CMP time. Provide guidance to assigned technicians, promoting high-quality standards through instruction and exemplary conduct. Act in the capacity of Mechanical Team Lead (MTL) during their absence, assuming their responsibilities when designated. Collaborate with the Inspection department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation standards. Complete work order sign-offs, shift transitions, and other paperwork promptly, ensuring all completed work meets quality benchmarks and specifications. Properly identify and tag customer property and equipment, ensuring secure and safe storage of aircraft components and other customer assets. Adhere to standard operating procedures and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) when utilizing ground support equipment, such as power supplies, hydraulic rigs, nitrogen filler carts, and oxygen service carts. Operate and oversee the use of specialized support equipment for the removal and installation of major components. Coordinate the movement of aircraft as necessary. Assist in training new personnel on the computerized maintenance program (CMP), maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs (IPC), flight test installations, and all major component maintenance. Work with other departments to arrange for the overhaul or repair of customer property as required. Additional Functions: Utilize the material tracking system to generate parts requests and allocate labor to the appropriate work orders and item numbers. Implement 6S and Lean Initiatives to maintain cleanliness and organization in shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas. Ensure proper collection and disposal of waste fuel, oil, hydraulic fluids, de-icing fluids, and solvent rags. Apply Lean and continuous improvement methodologies across all areas of responsibility. Properly use and maintain company-issued tools and equipment, returning items to their designated storage areas after use. In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include conducting flight tests on aircraft as required. Perform additional duties as assigned. Other Requirements: Advanced understanding of inspection and maintenance protocols for various aircraft models and systems within each product line. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant technical reference materials (maintenance manuals, IPCs, Service Bulletins, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, etc.). Familiarity with FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures. Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
