The Role:

As the Director of Content Marketing, you will develop a comprehensive content strategy while excelling in the creation of financial content. You will lead content initiatives across diverse customer segments and distribution channels, driving execution by managing a talented team of freelancers to produce high-quality, impactful content tailored for our capital markets audience. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the editing of various content forms, including writing samples and blogs, as well as managing additional projects such as guidebook series. You will also be responsible for managing our content calendar and analyzing key performance indicators to ensure our content aligns with business objectives and resonates with our institutional investor audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a content strategy and editorial calendar that delivers exceptional content across all formats and channels to Forge's audience, including financial institutions, sophisticated accredited investors, private tech company leaders, and employee shareholders.
  • Drive the creation of new content through the development of reports, materials, and assets across various formats, including short and long-form content, advertising, video assets, sales materials, emails, and print collateral. Produce compelling content and manage a team of freelancers and agency writers to execute the content strategy effectively.
  • Lead cross-functional content projects, collaborating with teams in data analysis, production, design, sales, and distribution channels.
  • Enhance content as a capability: Set quarterly goals and calendars; track and measure progress; scale the resourcing model across internal teams, freelancers, and agency partners; and develop collaborative approaches within Forge to achieve business objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in content production management, with a proven track record of owning and executing a content calendar.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing and editing content for freelance and/or agency writers focused on financial audiences.
  • In-depth knowledge of capital markets and financial products, with the ability to create and develop content aimed at institutional investors, analysts, or similar audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build comprehensive content strategy programs supported by individual content pieces.
  • Data-driven mindset with a strong understanding of how to analyze, measure, and enhance content's impact and performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in FinTech or Financial Services startups is preferred.
  • Familiarity with online tools (such as Pardot, ProcessWire, Heap) that facilitate effective scaling of the content program.
  • CFA or FINRA qualifications are a plus.
