As a Federal Tax Associate, you will collaborate with a diverse range of businesses across various sectors. You will cultivate strong relationships with clients by gaining a deep understanding of their operations and challenges. Associates engage in multiple team projects each year, contributing to various aspects of assignments rather than focusing on a single element. This collaborative atmosphere promotes respect and allows our associates to harmonize their careers with their personal lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participating in a team that specializes in a broad spectrum of tax areas, including but not limited to income tax accounting, corporate taxation, federal incentives, individual tax matters, mergers and acquisitions, pass-through entity taxation, and services for private clients and non-profit organizations.
  • Conducting tax planning and research.
  • Preparing federal and state/local tax returns.
  • Interpreting tax regulations and accounting standards.
Basic Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Major in Accounting.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations, with access to reliable transportation.
  • A preferred minimum GPA of 3.0.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Progressing towards the successful completion of the CPA exam; tax associates have the opportunity to accrue the audit hours necessary for full certification.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
  • Capability to work effectively within a team.
  • Aptitude for multitasking in a dynamic environment.
