About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Executive Director to lead our Eastern Iowa Chapter. As the face of the American Red Cross in this region, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with community leaders, developing and implementing fundraising strategies, and ensuring the delivery of our humanitarian programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive community relations plan to increase visibility and support for the American Red Cross.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders, donors, and volunteers.
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet or exceed annual goals.
- Collaborate with the Regional Executive and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with regional and national objectives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to Community Volunteer Leaders and Chapter Board members.
Requirements:
- Four-year college degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Finance, or non-profit administration, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years related experience, with a proven track record of success in community relations, fundraising, and leadership.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in MS Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
