**Job Summary**

The primary purpose of this position is to support the sales and profit growth of the Deli/Food Service and Bakery areas through proper product selection and development, merchandising techniques and training/support of retail operations associates.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assist in the development and implementation of technical training programs.
  • Work with the store teammates to ensure that training needs are being met.
  • Ensure the execution of the sales program for Deli/Food Service area as well as Bakery area.
  • Communicate these specifications to senior management and other operators as needed.
  • Ensure specifications are met at store level, identify issues and make appropriate recommendations to Operations management.
  • Complete department setup for new and remodeled stores as per corporate standards.
  • Regularly inspect store departments to identify inconsistencies and opportunities.
  • Assist Operations and merchandising in raising standards and improving performance.
  • Support stores for Model store preparation.
  • Support merchandising departments in program planning and development as needed when requested through operations.
  • Manage the financial results for assigned region to include sales, margin, wrap, labor and shrink control.
  • Supervise safety practices during all store tours and as part of all training sessions.

**Requirements:**

  • Valid drivers license.
  • Satisfactory performance reviews.
  • Strong communication skills.

**Education and Experience:**

  • High School or equivalent.
  • 3 - 5 years Deli/FS operations experience.
