About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Account Manager to join our team at AssuredPartners. As an Insurance Account Manager, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional risk management solutions to our growing client base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead meetings with clients, including meetings at client locations, to provide comprehensive client support and act as the main client contact for their book of business.
  • Negotiate and sell lines of insurance to clients to round out their accounts as appropriate, and design insurance and risk management plans for clients as assigned and directed by Agency management.
  • Own all audit, review, and claims processes for assigned books of business, and analyze data to draft client service plans, stewardship reports, and other meaningful reports tailored to the needs of the client and circumstances of the presentation.
  • Develop and maintain strong personal relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel, and be proficient in underwriting practices and able to manage underwriting relationships.
  • Mentor or formally direct the work of more junior team members, including Account Coordinators, Account Managers, and Senior Account Managers, and facilitate and collaborate with the account team on the agency's renewal strategy.
  • Provide clients with Insurance Coverage Reviews and reviews methods of handling risks, identify and explain gaps in coverage, and work with the producer to write new business.
  • Attend carrier functions to learn new coverage options and risk assessment strategies, and conduct book reviews to determine which accounts need an in-person risk assessment or client meeting to support agency retention.

Requirements
  • A current Property and Casualty license is required, and professional designations are preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of available commercial lines coverages based on business classification, as well as informed on industry trends and client retention strategies
  • Highly developed problem-solving and solution-design skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated leadership through client support and advocacy skills, as well as the mentoring and guidance of more junior employees
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office or similar software, including spreadsheet and presentation software, and skilled in the use of agency management software with the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
