Principal Product Manager

As a Principal Product Manager, Tech, you will be responsible for driving the Amazon Echo roadmap. You will define and deliver the next-generation of Echo devices in the home.
This role is inherently cross-functional, requiring close collaboration with engineering, design, operations, finance, and executive teams to bring features and products to market and develop and grow business opportunities.
A successful candidate will be a big thinker, empathetic leader, results-oriented, and highly analytical. They will be able to work effectively in a matrix organization and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high-quality, simple products and experiences that customers love.
Key Responsibilities- Set the vision and strategy for Amazon Echo.
- Define, build, and launch next-generation Echo devices.
- Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals.
- Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners.
- Define use cases, requirements, and prioritization for Echo device capabilities.
- Work with partner teams to deliver new and creative Alexa experiences through devices.
- Learn and be curious about technology roadmaps that can shape the future of devices.
- Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product.
- Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance, and operational support load.
- Work closely with engineering teams and program management to deliver products to market.
- Drive product launches, including working with public relations teams, executives, and other product management team members.
- 8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology experience.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience with feature delivery and trade-offs of a product.
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
- Experience with end-to-end product delivery.
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
- Experience in technical product management.
- Experience working directly with engineers on product enhancements.
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market.
Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
