Job Description

The Director of Finance role at HYATT Hotels involves leading the accounting function and collaborating with various teams to drive business success. As a key member of the Leadership Committee, you will report directly to the General Manager and be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the division's financial activities. This includes generating accurate financial reports, forecasting, budgeting, and internal/external audits. Additionally, you will provide financial support to hotel management, develop strategic plans, and drive business results through actionable insights.

This role encompasses four main areas of discipline: Financial Management, Operational Leadership, Internal Controls and Risk, and Business Partner. You will oversee short- and long-term planning, manage the Accounting function, participate in total hotel management, and ensure proper fiscal management, timely reporting, and analysis. Furthermore, you will assist in nurturing relationships with owners, supervising owner reporting, and preparing custom reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate 6+ years of progressive hotel accounting experience, preferably with previous pre-opening experience. Your service-oriented style should include professional presentation skills, and you should hold a Hospitality or Accounting degree. Key qualifications also include high energy, an entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leadership, effective communication, and excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
