Position Overview:
The Housekeeping Coordinator plays a vital role in managing and organizing housekeeping operations, serving as the primary point of contact within the housekeeping department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit attentiveness, friendliness, and professionalism towards guests, management, and colleagues at all times.
  • Generate daily reports to assign room attendant tasks in accordance with established productivity standards, ensuring all special requests are fulfilled.
  • Handle all communication devices, responding to requests appropriately and dispatching the necessary personnel.
  • Maintain consistent communication with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Oversee room status, including out-of-order and VIP rooms, and complete necessary reports with supervisor approval.
  • Implement and uphold 'Lost and Found' procedures in line with company standards.
  • Monitor guest requests and manage rental equipment logistics, including ordering, logging, and returning items.
  • Ensure the orderly management of laundry and dry cleaning services.
  • Track daily attendance for housekeeping staff.
  • Issue keys and manage the key control system effectively.
  • Master all relevant room systems that impact housekeeping operations.
  • Assist with payroll, scheduling, and administrative tasks as required.
  • Log and track maintenance requests, ensuring timely completion.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training programs for housekeeping staff.
  • Analyze trends affecting housekeeping metrics and guest satisfaction.
  • Foster excellent communication practices between the housekeeping department and other hotel departments.
  • Provide support to housekeeping management and staff as needed.
  • Strive to ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two to three years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
  • Relevant college coursework is advantageous.
