We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Institutional Custodian to join our team at the Vermont Veterans' Home. As a key member of our housekeeping and laundry team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in all areas of the facility, including living spaces, common areas, and patient care areas.
- Perform laundry duties, including sorting, washing, drying, and folding linens and personal clothing.
- Operate laundry machines and ensure they are in good working condition.
- Remove trash and recyclables from the facility and ensure proper disposal.
- Participate in deep cleaning and sanitizing of high-touch areas and equipment.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve common goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- No specific education or experience required.
- At least one (1) year of experience as a custodian or housekeeper in a health care or other institutional setting is preferred.
- A competitive hourly rate, with the potential for negotiable pay based on experience and qualifications.
