Key Responsibilities- Patient Greeting and Registration: Greet and register patients in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring accurate collection of required data.
- Scheduling and Eligibility: Schedule and register patients, determine eligibility for services, and counsel patients regarding payment policies.
- Waiting Room Management: Manage the waiting room atmosphere, keeping patients informed about wait times and ensuring a comfortable and clean waiting area.
- Customer Service Skills: Provide strong customer service to a complex patient population.
- Communication Skills: Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical Skills: Ability to navigate multiple computer software programs, including EHR and Microsoft Office products.
- Self-Motivation: Be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Reception Experience: Experience as a receptionist in a medical, dental, or social services setting.
- Bookkeeping Skills: Strong bookkeeping or accounting skills.
- Microsoft Office Skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Bilingual Abilities: Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish).
