About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Blue Shield of California. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in driving our financial performance and improving product profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to forecast balance sheet, cash flow, and regulatory capital
  • Produce contract performance reports, model reimbursement rates, and evaluate financial contract modifications
  • Collect and evaluate data, analyze results, and conduct scenario analyses to inform financial decision-making
  • Provide policy guidance and interpretation to ensure financial records are consistent and compliant with company policies and GAAP
  • Identify financial tools and systems to position our organization as a best-in-class finance organization
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience
  • Essential experience in expense allocations
  • Strong financial and analytical background with proven ability to drill into data and transform insights into actionable recommendations
  • Self-motivated and innovative thinker with a passion for process optimization
  • Experience in developing and implementing company-wide financial reports
  • Advanced financial modeling skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and deliver results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical proficiency in Excel, Macros, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and Hyperion and Planview administrative knowledge
