Job Summary

The University of California, Riverside seeks a highly skilled Research and Financial Analyst to provide complex pre-award and post-award research administration and financial management support to assigned Principal Investigators (PIs) and faculty in the School of Education (SOE).

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with PIs in pre-award management, including developing proposal budgets, packaging proposal materials, and completing electronic proposal review and approval.
  • Manage all post-award activities, including award setup, ongoing fund management, financial reporting, and award close-out.
  • Oversee non-contract and grant funding for assigned PIs and faculty, including internal UC/UCR, initial complement, gift, sales and services, and other funds.
  • Provide strategic and high-level financial analysis, budget management, financial reporting, and guidance on payroll/personnel and procurement matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with all UCR, UC, and sponsor policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure successful contract and grant administration.
  • Foster relationships with funding agencies aligned with SOE's equity-oriented mission and goals of creating more equitable educational environments.
Requirements
  • Strong financial management skills and knowledge of UCR, UC, and sponsor policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with PIs and faculty.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary range of $71,100 - $128,700 annually, with an expected pay scale of up to $95,000 annually.
