ROLE SUMMARY

The Financial Analysis Specialist will be responsible for delivering analytical insights, financial reporting, and various requests to facilitate informed financial decision-making. This role is essential for maintaining, developing, and refining financial models and reports. The specialist is expected to operate independently with a high level of technical and analytical expertise, utilizing Excel and financial systems to address business requirements. This position reports to the VP of Reporting & Analytics and primarily supports the VP of Financial Operations and the financial operations team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial analysis, generate finance reports, and fulfill other ad hoc requests by creating, enhancing, or maintaining report files, models, and templates.
  • Prepare, update, maintain, and distribute weekly and monthly financial and operational reports, collaborating with other finance team members.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process by updating and preparing operating budget templates for revenues and expenses.
  • Refine and modify models and analyses as necessary.
  • Perform variance analysis, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Collect requirements and data from various sources, working alongside others in Financial Operations to populate relevant information for analyses and assumptions.
  • Offer technical financial expertise to support various users, including advanced Excel functionalities.
  • Conduct additional financial analyses to support strategic business decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis.
  • Proficient in Excel, with advanced skills in building financial models and utilizing complex functions (including formulas, pivots, macros, etc.).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proven capacity to execute detailed work promptly and accurately.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work autonomously and achieve results with minimal oversight.
