Job Description: Furniture Assembly Technician
Are you a hands-on individual who thrives in an independent work environment? Do you enjoy keeping things organized and looking their best? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you as a Furniture Assembly Technician.
- Responsibilities:
- Maintain the furniture department at various retail locations.
- Perform in-store tasks including light dusting and vacuuming, making minor repairs to display items, completing special projects as assigned, and inventory management.
- Follow established protocols to ensure the safety of all display items within the department.
- Provide detailed reports on the store kiosk at the conclusion of each service call.
- Position merchandise and create a customer-ready furniture department.
- Utilize planograms to ensure furniture is organized correctly and identify any missing items.
- Build trust with store managers through knowledge of Apollo policies and procedures.
- Complete furniture assemblies after the service visit as needed.
- Participate in projects at other retail locations as requested by management.
- Requirements:
- Possess reliable transportation to travel between 30 to 60 miles to multiple store locations each day (depending on market location).
- Have a basic tool set.
- Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and Apollo management.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the workday.
- Work hours between 8 AM and 5 PM, Monday – Friday (openness to weekends and evenings is encouraged).
- Ability to read diagrams or instructions, process information, and use hand tools and power tools.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.

- Incentive-based pay for all assemblies (unlimited earning potential).
- Project hourly pay based on assignment.

- Paid mileage, travel pay, and hotel accommodations with per diem for travelers when applicable.
- Assignments can range from 0-40 hours per week based on volume, willingness to travel, and acceptance of various projects offered.
