Job Description: Furniture Assembly Technician

Are you a hands-on individual who thrives in an independent work environment? Do you enjoy keeping things organized and looking their best? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you as a Furniture Assembly Technician.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the furniture department at various retail locations.
  • Perform in-store tasks including light dusting and vacuuming, making minor repairs to display items, completing special projects as assigned, and inventory management.
  • Follow established protocols to ensure the safety of all display items within the department.
  • Provide detailed reports on the store kiosk at the conclusion of each service call.
  • Position merchandise and create a customer-ready furniture department.
  • Utilize planograms to ensure furniture is organized correctly and identify any missing items.
  • Build trust with store managers through knowledge of Apollo policies and procedures.
  • Complete furniture assemblies after the service visit as needed.
  • Participate in projects at other retail locations as requested by management.
  • Requirements:
  • Possess reliable transportation to travel between 30 to 60 miles to multiple store locations each day (depending on market location).
  • Have a basic tool set.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and Apollo management.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the workday.
  • Work hours between 8 AM and 5 PM, Monday – Friday (openness to weekends and evenings is encouraged).
  • Ability to read diagrams or instructions, process information, and use hand tools and power tools.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
