Job Summary

Adventist Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team at our Kailua location. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms. Your attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure will be essential in this fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare for each surgical case by accurately checking required supplies and equipment prior to case.
  • Assemble appropriate supplies/equipment prior to operative procedures.
  • Review equipment inventory for specialty as assigned.
  • Set up operative instrumentation/sterile field for expedient retrieval/utilization.

Requirements
  • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
  • Associate's/Technical Degree/Completion of Surgical Technician program or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Scrub technician experience: Preferred
  • Operating room experience and/or training course: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications
  • Surgery Technician certification: Preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association certification: Required
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification: Preferred
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential: Required in HI within one year of hire
