Surgical Technician

Adventist Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team at our Kailua location. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms. Your attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure will be essential in this fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare for each surgical case by accurately checking required supplies and equipment prior to case.
- Assemble appropriate supplies/equipment prior to operative procedures.
- Review equipment inventory for specialty as assigned.
- Set up operative instrumentation/sterile field for expedient retrieval/utilization.
Requirements
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
- Associate's/Technical Degree/Completion of Surgical Technician program or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Scrub technician experience: Preferred
- Operating room experience and/or training course: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications
- Surgery Technician certification: Preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association certification: Required
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification: Preferred
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential: Required in HI within one year of hire
