About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Attorney to join our prestigious team as a General Liability Specialist. This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven and detail-oriented professional to take their career to the next level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of general liability cases from inception to conclusion, including trial, if necessary.
  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients in matters related to general liability and medical malpractice.
  • Develop and implement strategies to effectively handle complex general liability cases.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and pleadings.
  • Represent the firm in court and before regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends related to general liability and medical malpractice.
  • Participate in business development activities to attract new clients and expand the firm's general liability practice.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the Connecticut State Bar.
  • A minimum of six years of experience as a practicing attorney, with a focus on general liability and medical malpractice.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully managing and resolving complex general liability cases.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and court officials.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using legal research software and other technology tools.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
