Job Summary

Nasdaq is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Risk Management Director to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for implementing organization strategies through the effective direction and management of resources, while being accountable for the business strategies, functional or operational areas, processes or programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team of people, setting direction and deploying resources on varying projects, participating in organization-wide projects, while providing guidance and expertise on an as needed basis.
  • Identify and analyze potential sources of loss to minimize risk, breaking down complex information into understandable terminology and communicate with clarity and precision.
  • Develop and establish functional strategy and tactics to ensure successful completion of work that meets or exceeds client and/or organizational expectations.
  • Manage resources and take accountability for the performance and results of multiple related teams.
  • Develop departmental/functional plans, including business unit and/or production priorities, to address resource and operational needs and challenges.
  • Identify, establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers and influencers internally and externally.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to clients, team members, colleagues, etc. on projects.
  • Participate in both internal and external projects that are broad in scope and closely tied to the organizational strategy.
  • Conduct regular status and strategy meetings with internal and external teams to understand risks, priorities, etc. and ensure a successful end result.
  • Evaluate current business processes and systems, ensuring cost-savings and risk control.
  • Coordinate financial and budget activities for maximum operational efficiency.
  • Reviews team and individual performance data (financial, sales and activity reports) to monitor and measure productivity, goal progress and activity levels.
  • Motivates, develops, recruits and retains employees while rewarding and cultivating a culture of high performing teams.
  • Deep understanding of Operations Risk Management and risk analysis to identify and analyze potential sources of loss in order to minimize risk and costs.
  • Guides others in research and analyzes.
  • Stays informed of Operations Risk Management trends and best practices, evaluates and prioritizes recommendations to minimize risk.
  • Coordinates the work of others within functions or cross functionally.
  • Maintains updated records and prepares required reports.
  • Regulatory reporting SEC.
  • Understanding the regulatory framework and the impact on the Operations Risk Management.

Requirements

  • Education Required: Degree qualified in relevant discipline or equivalent working experience.
  • Prior management experience is required.
  • Special Qualifications: (to be added by job family)
