A competitive salary is offered for this School Psychologist position at Amergis, ranging from $65,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled School Psychologist to support students through various mental health and developmental issues, aid in qualifying students for additional support services, and provide on-site psychological services. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other team members to ensure the development and provision of an appropriate education program.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct multi-factored evaluations (initial and re-evaluations) in compliance with state regulations within a designated timeframe
  • Perform pre-referral consultation/intervention
  • Monitor students' response to curriculum modifications
  • Serve as an instructional intervention specialist who plans interventions and individual education programs
  • Conduct psycho-educational assessments
  • Consult individually or in groups with students and/or parents or other personnel on matters relating to education and mental health
  • Participate in ongoing training/in-service related job duties
  • Consult with teachers and other team members on an ongoing basis
  • Assist with the implementation of RTI in assigned schools (if applicable)
  • Conduct evaluations of each assigned student, including interviewing the student, observing classroom behaviors, consulting with parents and teachers, reviewing academic history and current educational functioning, administering specialized evaluations, conducting Functional Behavior Analysis, and creating Behavior Intervention Plans

Requirements:

  • Maintain current State licensure and/or certification in the state of assignment
  • Experience in pediatric and adolescent populations preferred
  • Masters degree in psychology preferred
  • Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
  • Meet all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to the job site
  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in English required
  • Computer proficiency required
  • At least 18 years of age
