About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishroom Attendant to join our team at Sage Hospitality. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our dishroom and kitchen areas.

Responsibilities
  • Gather and sort dirty dishware, utensils, and equipment from the kitchen and dining areas, and transport them to the dishroom for washing.
  • Operate the dishwashing machine, ensuring that it is properly loaded, unloaded, and maintained to meet health and safety standards.
  • Manually wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment that cannot be washed automatically, using detergents and scourers as needed.
  • Polish and maintain the cleanliness of silver, stainless steel, and pewter items used in food service.
  • Keep the dishroom and surrounding areas clean and organized, including sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash.
  • Maintain the dishwashing equipment in good working order, following manufacturer instructions and health regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen and dishroom.
Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of dishwashing and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds, including serving trays, carts, tables, chairs, and small equipment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, walk, and travel up to 300 feet throughout the shift.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions, and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks as needed.
