Job Title: Veterinary Doctor's Assistant

At ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital Los Angeles, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Doctor's Assistant to join our Emergency and Critical Care Department.

About the Role:

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and providing outstanding customer service to our clients. As a Veterinary Doctor's Assistant, you will work closely with our medical teams to guide clients through their visit, ensuring a trusting and empathetic experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Board Certified Specialists and Emergency DVMs to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Serve as the liaison between doctors, clients, and patients, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Organize and track patient diagnostics, ensuring timely and accurate results.
  • Guide pet owners through discharges, paperwork, visits, and follow-up questions, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Communicate with clients, referring DVMs, and pharmacies as needed regarding appointments, medical concerns, patient updates, referrals, and prescriptions.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of veterinary experience in a client service role or similar role.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently in a clear and audible voice.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work 1 weekend day per week.
