Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures, using your knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing diagnostic procedures, including routine, emergent, portable, and surgical examinations, in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Communicating effectively with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
  • Assisting patients with transportation and other needs as required.
  • Entering data, filing, restocking supplies, and performing quality assurance functions.
  • Participating in on-call or standby schedules as required.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a related field, with a focus on cardiac sonography.
  • A minimum of two years of education in a related field, with a focus on cardiac sonography.
  • Registration as a Cardiac Sonographer with Cardiovascular Credentialing International or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
  • A Sonography Technologist License in the state of Oregon.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience with TEE, Stress Echo, and Pediatric Echosonography.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
