The Treatment Coordinator plays a vital role in the patient experience and flow at Great Expressions Dental Centers. This position is responsible for explaining and ensuring the patient understands what treatment they need, the importance of the treatment to their overall health and the financial options to deploy in order to commit to the needed care.
Key Responsibilities:- Communicate Treatment Plans: Clearly explain recommended treatment plans to patients and promote good qualities of our doctors.
- Patient Advocacy: Listen to individual patients' concerns and assist them through the process by applying judgment and practical solutions.
- Financial Guidance: Provide feedback to patients regarding specific tactics that change financial and patient care outcomes.
- Appointment Scheduling: Guide patients through proper office flow to assist in arranging appointments for follow-up treatment.
- Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with Federal, State, and other regulations (OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, Company policies & procedures).
- Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks as requested by direct Manager.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED with 4 or more years' experience in a dental office environment.
- Dental Terminology: Familiarity with dental terminology to clarify treatment options to patients.
- Education Preference: Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Sales, or other related degree.
- Computer Skills: Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Healthcare Practice Management systems.
- Mathematical Concepts: Ability to work with mathematical concepts to practical situations.
- Insurance Knowledge: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common insurance plans and financial information.
- Relationship Building: Proven track record of developing highly productive working relationships.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Patient Experience: Superior patient experience skills and successful track record of positive patient communications.
