Job Title: Vehicle Condition Evaluator

As a key member of the CarMax team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our vehicle inventory.

About the Role:
  • Conduct thorough vehicle condition assessments by collecting, recording, and communicating all required information about customer appraisals.
  • Accurately option vehicles during assessments and CarMax inventory, ensuring seamless integration with our sales and merchandising processes.
  • Perform high-quality imaging of Retail and Wholesale vehicles for CarMax websites, showcasing our inventory in the best possible light.
  • Complete vehicle secures, including reading and verifying appraisal entry information for any discrepancies, to maintain data integrity.
  • Conduct vehicle walkarounds, communicating information accurately and in a timely manner to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Assist the Merchandising Department with maintaining inventory and executing customer transfers, ensuring efficient and effective inventory management.
  • Complete final condition verifications on inventory acquired through online customer channels, guaranteeing accuracy and quality.
  • Assist in the preparation and operation of the wholesale auction, working closely with our sales and merchandising teams.
  • Partner with Inventory and Sales Departments to conduct lot merchandising, as needed, to optimize our inventory and drive sales.
  • Assist the Merchandising Department with various other projects and office duties, as needed, to support the team's efforts.
  • Assist with on-boarding of new associates, providing guidance and support to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Complete assigned tasks independently and follow up after completion, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and attention to detail.

Working Conditions:
  • Requires walking, bending, kneeling, or standing for extended periods of time, as well as working in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work outdoors or in any inclement weather environment for several hours, adapting to changing conditions.
  • Flexible work hours with shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
  • Requires CarMax work clothing to be worn when working in the store, maintaining a professional appearance.
