Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a qualified Substance Use Disorder Professional II or III to join our team at our Puyallup Behavioral Health Clinic.

Job Summary:

This full-time position involves providing direct counseling services to patients suffering from chemical dependency. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the disease concept of chemical dependency and be able to communicate effectively with patients and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and group counseling services to patients
  • Perform assessments, evaluations, and intakes
  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
Requirements:
  • AA degree and Washington State SUDP License or Washington State Department of Health certification
  • Knowledge of therapeutic approaches and ability to set and maintain therapeutic limits
  • Understanding of the theory and practice of individual and group treatment of substance use clients
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Ability to type fluently and proficiency in computer programs such as Word and Excel
