Pharmacy Manager

Job Summary:
As a Pharmacy Manager at Walgreens, you will be responsible for leading a team of pharmacists and technicians to provide exceptional patient care and services. You will oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies. Your expertise in pharmacy operations, patient care, and team management will drive business growth and improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of pharmacists and technicians to provide patient care and services, including medication therapy management, immunizations, and health screenings.
- Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy, including inventory management, staffing, and workflow optimization.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies, including HIPAA, OSHA, and DEA regulations.
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with store managers and district managers to achieve business objectives and improve store performance.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve pharmacy operations and patient care.
Requirements:
- BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from an accredited educational institution.
- Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
- At least 1 year pharmacy experience, including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance billing.
- Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
- An average rating of at least 3.0 on the leadership behaviors on the last performance review if one is on file, and no written disciplinary actions in the last 12 months (Internal candidates only).

Preferred Qualifications:
- Supervisory experience planning, organizing, and directing the work of pharmacy staff.
- At least 6 months pharmacy experience with Walgreen Co.
- An average rating of 3.7 or above on the leadership behaviors on the last performance review if one is on file. (Internal candidates only)

The actual salary within this range that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors.
