Clinical Pharmacist

The Clinical Pharmacist is a key member of our team at Pharmacy - The Corvallis Clinic Asbury Building, responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. This role requires expertise in therapeutic benefits, drug interactions, adverse reactions, and disease-specific evidence-based treatment protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in maintaining a culture that aligns with our Service and Behavioral Standards document.
• Provide direct patient care, including obtaining and evaluating patient medication regimens, allergies, and past/current medical history.
• Design, recommend, and monitor patient-specific therapeutic regimens using evidence-based medicine and collaborative drug therapy management protocols.
Professional Practice:
• Remain current in pharmaceutical regulations and applicable laws, ensuring compliance with The Corvallis Clinic standards.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (RPh) or a PharmD degree from an accredited college or university.
• Oregon Pharmacy licensure required.
• Pharmacy practice residency or a minimum of three (3) years of practice experience in direct patient care required.
• Experience in an ambulatory care clinic or inpatient setting preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:
• Ability to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary team setting.
• Lead and train where necessary, accurately representing the standards of pharmaceutical practice.
• Flexibility and vision to try new collaborative approaches to clinical problems and the willingness to persevere through challenges.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Exercises independent judgment within the limits of authority.
• Thorough knowledge of Electronic Medical Record, Spreadsheet, and Word Processing software.
