POSITION SUMMARY
The Field Service Engineer is tasked with performing routine maintenance and repairs on SencorpWhite's material handling systems located at various client sites. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to customer service, ensuring a professional representation of SencorpWhite. A solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and computer systems is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose and analyze equipment malfunctions.
- Provide troubleshooting solutions both on-site and remotely.
- Execute repairs on mechanical and electrical failures directly at customer locations.
- Interpret and understand mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Recommend necessary parts and additional services as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of service calls and updates.
- Follow safety protocols and report any safety concerns promptly.
- Submit travel expense reports accurately within five days post-trip.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through follow-up communications.
- Oversee the maintenance and condition of company tools and equipment.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to distinguish wire colors.
- Compliance with vaccination requirements at certain customer locations may be necessary.
- Willingness to work overtime to fulfill customer demands.
- Availability for on-call duties to meet guaranteed response times.
- Preparedness for travel, including overnight stays.
- Flexibility to assist in covering for colleagues during absences.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Frequent bending and lifting are required.
- Capability to install motors weighing up to 125 lbs.
- Ability to work at heights while secured with a safety harness.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces.
- Must be able to drive long distances while performing job duties.
- Travel expectations range from 50% to 75%.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with technical or trade school training preferred.
