We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Technician II to join our team at Herschend Family Entertainment. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical systems and equipment across all our properties.
Key Responsibilities- Electrical System Maintenance: Regularly inspect and evaluate electrical and electronic equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation, identifying defects, hazards, or need for repair or adjustment.
- Diagnostic and Repair Services: Diagnose common electrical system failures and provide immediate and long-term corrective action.
- Installation and Maintenance: Perform skillful conduit/wire installations, maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance to a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment in accordance with regulatory codes at the county, state, and federal levels.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean and lubricate equipment, and maintain records on equipment status.
- Electrical Equipment Repair: Disassemble, repair, and reassemble or replace defective electrical equipment such as plugs, switches, outlets, controls, ballasts, motors, and appliances using hand tools, test equipment, and service manuals.
- Testing and Verification: Test installations to check and ensure continuity of the circuit, and the compatibility and safety of all components using test equipment such as an ohmmeter, amp meter, voltmeter, oscilloscope, or battery buzzer.
- Blueprint and Schematic Analysis: Study blueprints and schematics and determine methods, materials, and equipment needed to complete the assignment; Plan layout to install electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment depending on the local codes and job specifications.
- Inventory Management: Determine materials needed for most frequently occurring repair work, prepare requisitions, and monitor inventory.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate work functions with co-workers and other organizational departments. May assist in training lower-level apprentice Electricians and others.
- Record Keeping: Maintain records of work completed and parts used.
- Compliance and Safety: Perform duties in a safe manner in compliance with manufacturer's specifications, Herschend Family Entertainment policies and procedures, applicable regulations, and industry standards.
- Permitting: Obtain proper permits as required by law to carry out electrical work on construction or remodeling projects.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Experience: Four (4) years of progressively responsible journey level electrical experience; OR, completion of a four-year federally approved technical training program in electrical repair and maintenance and two (2) years electrical experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
- Knowledge and Skills: Proficient knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to electrical trade.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and proof of auto liability insurance for use of Company vehicles.
- Background Check: Must pass post-employment offer drug test and background check.
