Job Title: Lighting Technician

At Herschend Family Entertainment, we're passionate about creating unforgettable experiences for our guests. As a Lighting Technician, you'll play a crucial role in bringing our theme parks to life with stunning lighting effects.

Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Lighting Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing lighting systems, as well as troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with our entertainment lighting control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain lighting systems, including themed outdoor lighting, festival installations, and property-wide atmospheric sound systems
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with entertainment lighting control systems, including DMX infrastructure and fixtures
  • Set up and troubleshoot networking infrastructure
  • Perform routine maintenance on entertainment equipment to ensure high safety standards and safe use conditions
  • Utilize heavy machinery for installation and transportation of entertainment equipment
  • Provide technical support to all Herschend Family Entertainment venues as needed
  • Share knowledge and best practices with other technical team members
Requirements
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • High School diploma required
  • Experience with entertainment and/or architectural lighting fixtures
  • Knowledge of entertainment and/or architectural lighting control infrastructure and control systems
  • Knowledge of installation, operation, and repair of modern moving-light fixtures preferred
  • Experience in programming lighting control software and show control systems like Paradigm, Mosaic, and Hog preferred
  • Experience with professional audio system installations and controls preferred
  • Experience in stage set construction or general construction preferred
  • Experience and working knowledge of electricity preferred
  • Experience with industry-specific software such as VectorWorks, QLab, QSys, and Dante preferred
  • Ability to operate a computer and be knowledgeable of general use programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
