At Hampton Roads Transit, we are committed to providing exceptional customer service to our riders. As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our customers have a positive experience with our transit system.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer customer inquiries and provide information on routes, schedules, fares, and other HRT services.
  • Process lost and found items and operate a multi-line telephone system.
  • Maintain databases and assist with public outreach efforts.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One year of experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
  • Ability to deal effectively with the public and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $31,200 per year, based on market research. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan.
