About the Role:

The Retail Sales Associate - Part-Time plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and promoting the US Foods strategy of providing Great Food, Made Easy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining a superior customer service atmosphere, promoting the US Foods Cultural Beliefs, and filling various roles such as Cashier, Stocker, and Customer Courtesy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Ensure all customers have an impeccable shopping experience by developing and maximizing relationships with customers. Utilize all tools and skills learned in the US Foods training and model the behavior in the store.
  • Sales and Cash Functions: Perform sales and cash functions in the Point of Sale (POS) in an efficient and accurate manner. This includes scanning merchandise, weighing product on countertop scales as necessary, and looking up any product that will not scan.
  • Stocking and Receiving: Ensure a continuing focus on increasing sales and managing shrinkage. Work with customers to ensure they find the products they need and are made aware of all the other services available to them in the store.
  • Store Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness of the sales floor, front end, and restrooms. Utilize cleaning equipment to assist in these duties.
  • Inventory and Cycle Count: Participate in the inventory and cycle count process as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience required.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
  • Skills: Must possess the desire and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service, adaptability, and willingness to assist other employees in order to get the job done.

Working Conditions:

  • Physical Demands: Must be able to perform the following physical activities for described length of time: standing, walking, driving, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, climbing/balancing, stooping/squatting, kneeling, bending, reaching above shoulder, twisting, grasping objects, manipulating objects, and manual dexterity.

Compensation: The expected compensation for this role is between $19.66 to $21.09. This role is also eligible for overtime compensation.
