Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Home Depot. As a key member of our front-end team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fast, friendly, and accurate service to customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Process transactions, handle returns, and resolve customer issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the self-checkout area, to ensure a safe and efficient shopping experience for customers.
  • Proactively seek product knowledge to provide customers with information and identify selling opportunities.
  • Follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink and ensure compliance with company standards.
Leadership Opportunities

As a Retail Sales Associate, you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and take on additional responsibilities, including:

  • Assisting in the supervision, coaching, and training of other front-end associates.
  • Participating in the training of new associates and utilizing available tools to coach and develop other associates.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1+ year of retail sales experience, preferably in a customer-facing role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point of sale system.
