We are seeking a Per Diem RN to join our team at Oregon Health & Science University Hospital - South Waterfront. As a Per Diem RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Adult Outpatient Surgery unit.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients undergoing elective surgical procedures.
- Administer medications, including blood products, and manage patient care in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and efficient unit operations.
- Participate in infection control, laser safety, and radiation safety protocols to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Assist with specimen handling, labeling, and urinary bladder catheterization as needed.
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an outpatient surgery setting.
- Current AHA BLS certification (RQI not accepted).
- Experience with Pyxis medication system and robotic, laser, and various OR tables.
- Ability to work 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts, with days only, no weekends.
Our Adult Outpatient Surgery unit, CHH Surgery Center, serves a variety of elective surgical procedures, including multi-specialty cases such as GYN, urology, robotics, orthopedic, general, ENT, and plastic surgery.
OrientationNew hires will participate in a comprehensive orientation program, including virtual and in-person training, and a 1-unit orientation.
