MAC Incorporated is seeking a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler. We are looking for a skilled maintenance planner with a background in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Position Overview:
The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler plays a crucial role in orchestrating all planned maintenance activities. This position is responsible for scheduling both preventive and routine maintenance tasks while minimizing disruptions to production operations. The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler serves as the primary liaison between the Maintenance and Production departments, as well as other supporting teams, to determine the optimal timing for executing planned maintenance work. This role aims to ensure that production units achieve a balance between daily output and equipment reliability through proactive maintenance strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate preventive maintenance activities in alignment with production needs.
  • Provide maintenance support for production and engineering initiatives to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards in all work.
  • Oversee all aspects of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Create and manage purchase orders, addressing any discrepancies with vendors.
  • Assign part numbers and maintain accurate documentation for efficient parts management.
  • Assist in organizing stockroom layouts and optimizing space for future growth.
  • Receive deliveries and manage inventory restocking processes.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
  • Organize equipment and develop procedures for efficient parts retrieval.

Reporting Structure:
The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler will report directly to the Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED; advanced degrees or certifications in technical or maintenance-related fields are preferred.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in maintenance planning or scheduling.
  • Familiarity with plant equipment and a background in maintenance and repair to effectively plan departmental activities.
  • Experience with SAP for purchase orders and parts management.
  • Proficiency in CMMS is preferred.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Must meet all basic employment criteria, including a good attendance record.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects while maintaining a focus on process improvement.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address operational and equipment issues.
  • Capability to read and interpret equipment operation manuals.
  • Ability to identify material, part, and product defects visually.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, to convey complex information clearly.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including CMMS, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to foster partnerships across various functional groups.
  • Demonstrated experience in utilizing work management processes for planning and scheduling maintenance tasks.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • Ability to respond to visual and audible alarms and internal communication systems.
  • Capability to work in environments with food allergens.
  • Must be able to navigate industrial equipment, including frequent climbing of stairs and ladders, and remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
