Job Title: Building Official

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Official to join our team at NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC. As a Building Official, you will be responsible for ensuring that commercial buildings are constructed and maintained in compliance with relevant building codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct commercial building code inspections and/or plans review to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Prepare and issue written and electronic reports, and notices of correction as needed.
  • Explain and interpret building codes and regulations to clients and the public.
  • Recognize, evaluate, and properly resolve unique problems or situations.
  • Maintain effective customer service relationships with clients and the public.
  • Assist the inspection management team with business development and other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • ICC Certified Building Official or Commercial building inspection licenses in all four disciplines: building, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing are required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • Valid State Driver's license with a clean driving record.
