Job Overview

Actus Consulting Group is in search of a dedicated IT Support Specialist Tier 1 who is proficient in Japanese.


This role involves evaluating and resolving technical support issues for users. We are seeking individuals who are self-driven, collaborative, and exceptionally organized.


Due to the nature of our client's requirements, this position does not adhere to a fixed work schedule. Flexibility in working hours is essential, as you will need to adapt to the client's needs.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Act as the primary contact for clients seeking technical support via phone or email.
  • Possess a solid understanding of Microsoft Windows OS (Windows 10/11), Microsoft Office, email systems (Outlook), VPN, MS365/O365, network printers, and LAN/Wi-Fi/AP support, along with basic knowledge of cloud/Azure environments.
  • Assist users through the Helpdesk ticketing system, such as Zendesk, and ensure follow-up with users.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals and operational procedures.
  • Perform software installations, configurations, and troubleshooting for users.
  • Set up, install, and configure hardware (PCs, printers, etc.) for users.
  • Communicate with vendors and manufacturers for new orders, product replacements, and technical support.
  • Provide remote support to users as needed.
  • Plan and conduct user training sessions at client locations.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Proficient in Microsoft OS and Office applications.
  • Strong PC knowledge and technical skills.
  • Basic understanding of networking and cloud technologies.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with Japanese fluency required and business-level English proficiency.
  • Outstanding customer service abilities.
  • Strong team collaboration and reporting skills.

SECURITY AWARENESS:

A fundamental understanding of security practices and a conscientious approach to handling user information is essential.


  • Authorization to work in the U.S. is mandatory.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) or Computer Information Systems (CIS) is required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an IT Helpdesk role or a similar capacity.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience working in a Japanese corporate environment is advantageous.
  • Any Microsoft certifications are beneficial.
  • Participation in IT projects is a plus.
