Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the TRAINING & RESEARCH FOUNDATION. As an Infant/Toddler Specialist, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for preschool children, promoting their cognitive, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement daily lesson plans that align with the Creative Curriculum and CDE Standards, incorporating multicultural educational materials and activities.
  • Ensure family-style meals and other elements of the curriculum are taking place on a daily basis, documenting volunteer activities and parent communication.
  • Organize the classroom according to developmental levels and individual needs, promoting trust, emotional security, and opportunities for exploration and development.
  • Provide primary and continuity of care, relating to children in a calm, caring, and nurturing manner, using appropriate child guidance techniques.
  • Observe children, record observations, and make referrals as needed, conducting developmental screenings and maintaining updated individual and group checklists.
  • Involve parents in all aspects of the classroom, maintaining ongoing professional and appropriate communication, and encouraging their involvement in workshops and training.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records, food reports, and other record keeping and reports, participating in program training and staff meetings.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field, with a minimum of 24 ECE units and a Teacher Permit issued from CCTC.
  • Minimum two years' experience working with preschool children (ages 3-5 years).
  • Good oral and written communication skills, knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, and ability to resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to work effectively with people, excellent problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Additional Requirements
  • Complete a physical examination, provide proof of immunization, and submit satisfactory proof of identity and authorization to work in the United States.
  • Complete Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training and Criminal Record Clearance.
