Job Description

At TRAINING & RESEARCH FOUNDATION, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As an Infant and Toddler Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the growth and development of our youngest learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing the Creative Curriculum and CDE Standards for our classrooms, preparing weekly lesson plans that cater to the unique needs and interests of each child.
  • Document volunteer activities and parent communication, ensuring seamless collaboration between families and our team.
  • Contribute to organizing the classroom into developmentally appropriate learning centers, promoting a safe and engaging environment for our infants and toddlers.
  • Ensure the classroom is home-like, safe, sanitary, and free of clutter, providing a stimulating atmosphere for our young learners.
  • Promote secure relationships with assigned infants and toddlers, relating to them in a calm, caring, and nurturing manner.
  • Observe children, record observations, and make referrals as needed, maintaining accurate attendance records and other required reports.
  • Provide meals and snacks according to the children's age, development, and needs, conducting family-style dining and adhering to program policies and procedures.
  • Maintain ongoing professional communication with parents, involving them in all aspects of the classroom and encouraging their participation in workshops and training.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 12 Units in Early Childhood Education, including 3 Units in Infant/Toddler and an Assistant Teacher Permit issued from CCTC.
  • Previous experience working with Infants and Toddlers ages Birth-36 Months.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate using proper English grammar.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • Complete a physical examination (LIC 503), and provide proof of immunization for the following: influenza, Tdap, MMR, and a Current TB test.
  • Submission of satisfactory proof of your identity and your legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Complete Child Abuse Mandated Reporter (AB1207).
  • Criminal Record Clearance (DOJ/FBI/CACI).
