The Logistics Center Supervisor is accountable for orchestrating and managing the workflow within the various departments of the distribution hub to ensure timely delivery and high-quality service. Work Schedule:
This role operates Monday through Friday, from 6 AM to 2:30 PM; overtime may be required based on operational demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement necessary protocols in the event of environmental incidents or workplace injuries, with a foundational understanding of OSHA regulations.
  • Ensure proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is utilized and promote accountability among team members regarding PPE usage.
  • Interpret process flows and relevant specifications, work instructions, and planning utilized in distribution.
  • Understand the audit process and the significance of transparent reporting, ensuring compliance and functionality of equipment and tooling, and recommend improvements as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of the end customer and supply chain dynamics.
  • Possess basic knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools and DMAIC principles.
  • Monitor Inventory Operational Plans and performance metrics; distinguish between raw materials, Work In Progress (WIP), and finished goods.
  • Review operational plans and weekly performance, correlating results with established goals.
  • Demonstrate the ability to establish UPH/CPH targets based on historical data and understand the components of Value-Added Cost Per Unit (VCPU).
  • Recognize the distinctions between material and conversion cost productivity.
  • Understand general business and financial planning processes, including gross and operating margins.
  • Participate in daily production meetings, support shift start-up meetings, and lead ergonomic initiatives.
  • Understand the critical path for material flow throughout the entire process for retail and direct-to-consumer operations.
  • Exhibit knowledge of logistics, including truck routes for incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Calculate productivity metrics and inputs necessary for determining required staffing levels.
  • Understand the risks associated with making delivery commitments to customers.
  • Navigate the site's ERP systems effectively.
  • Possess a basic understanding of Warehouse Management systems and troubleshoot as necessary.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of various operational functions and their interrelations.
  • Recognize the importance of employee relations through effective communication.
  • Understand the significance of team buy-in before implementing significant changes.
  • Be aware of the collaborative culture fostered within the facility and across the supply chain, recognizing its business impact.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role, with or without accommodation.
  • Required to stand in a stationary position during scheduled hours, which may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Regularly required to communicate using various methods.
  • Kneeling, stooping, using stairs, reaching, pulling, and moving weights of 0-25 pounds frequently, and 25-40 pounds occasionally, with weights over 40 pounds seldomly, with or without assistance as needed.
  • Ability to move up to 40 pounds at least 25 feet occasionally with assistance as needed.
  • Associates may be required to temporarily work in other locations based on business necessity, which may involve different physical demands.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One year of experience in a distribution center environment is preferred.
  • Yellow Belt Six Sigma certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic Lean concepts is preferred.
  • Previous experience with automated distribution center systems and current RF technology is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across various organizational levels.
  • Ability to learn and retain a comprehensive understanding of all operational systems and processes.
  • Ability to read, write, operate a computer, perform business-related mathematics, and analyze data as required.
  • Skills in conflict management and de-escalation techniques.
  • Ability to provide constructive and timely feedback.
  • Proactive in developing personal skills and competencies.

Work Environment:
This position is situated in a warehouse setting, with limited outdoor exposure during work hours. The role routinely utilizes standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, RF scanners, computers, and tape dispensers. Based on business necessity, associates may be required to temporarily work in other locations that necessitate different physical demands.

Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation range for this position is $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, reflecting the anticipated low and high end of the salary based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal equity and market alignment.
