About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Sprinkler System Inspector to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our life safety product lines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of sprinkler systems and other life safety equipment.
  • Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices to ensure proper operation of equipment.
  • Learn to complete service acknowledgements and input inspection documentation using laptop computers.
  • Follow a structured inspection schedule and input data into our documentation program.
  • Make minor repairs and programming changes under authorized supervision.
  • Complete assigned inspections on time and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Documented experience in sprinkler systems and ability to obtain required licenses.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
  • Knowledge of wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems.
  • Able to troubleshoot systems and perform necessary repairs.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual positions, such as climbing ladders and scaffolding.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call rotation, nights, and weekends.
  • Willing to travel out of town and demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Ability to adhere to safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and meet company driving requirements.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years' relevant experience
  • Repair experience
  • Backflow certification
  • NICET Level II certification
