Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team at UNC Family Medicine at Southpoint. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide high-quality, cost-effective care to patients within your scope of practice in collaboration with a supervising physician.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain relevant health and medical history, perform thorough physical assessments, and review and interpret pertinent diagnostic tests/results.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing and ordering of appropriate evidence-based pharmacological agents consistent with departmental guidelines and privileging.
  • Actively incorporate evidence-based hospital initiatives to improve patient care.
  • Conduct preventive health screenings based on age, history, and patient needs.
  • Maintain clear, comprehensive, and concise records of all aspects of patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with general disease and pathologic processes, as well as specialty literature, including awareness of developing areas.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
  • Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) in the state of North Carolina.
  • Board certification, if required by the Department, and DEA licensure.
