Advanced Practice Provider II

The Durham County Department of Public Health is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider II to join our team. As a key member of our Family Planning Clinic, you will provide comprehensive health care services to women, including contraceptive methods and women's health services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including LARC insertions and removals
- Coordinate and supervise clinical practice, including precepting for nurse practitioner students
- Collaborate with supervisors, managers, and other healthcare professionals to discuss policies and procedures, program planning, and annual policy review and revision
- Participate in emergency relief activities as needed and perform related duties as assigned
- Licensed as a Physician Assistant by the North Carolina Medical Board or approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife by the North Carolina Board of Nursing and the North Carolina Medical Board
- One year of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider
- Knowledge of Women's Health and Public Health
- Prefer candidate with bilingual skills (English and Spanish)
The primary work hours are between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM. However, employees may be called upon at any time to help the agency respond to a public health emergency.
