Marine Officer for Coastal Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Officer to join our team as a 500 Ton Mate Near Coastal. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessels in coastal waters.
About the RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced marine professional to take their career to the next level. As a 500 Ton Mate Near Coastal, you will be responsible for supporting the Chief Officer in the management of day-to-day operations, including navigation, cargo handling, and crew management.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Chief Officer in the management of vessel operations, including navigation, cargo handling, and crew management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including those related to safety, security, and environmental protection
- Monitor and report on vessel performance, including fuel efficiency and maintenance requirements
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless vessel operations, including communication with shore-based teams and other vessels
To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of [insert time] years of experience as a 500 Ton Mate Near Coastal, with a proven track record of safely and efficiently operating vessels in coastal waters. You must also hold a valid 500 Ton Near Coastal Mate License, OICNW, VSO, RADAR Observer, GMDSS, Medical Care provider, RFPNW, PSC, Advanced Fire Fighting, Basic Training, US passport, and USCG Medical certifications.
What We OfferIn return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. We also provide company-paid insurance with a buy-up plan available, 28/28 rotation, and the ability to go home at night if living local and the vessel is at the dock. Additionally, you will receive company-paid training for renewals and upgrades, and must be a US citizen or authorized to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship.
