Job Overview

Carriage Services is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Garden of Memories Location in New Orleans, LA as a Managing Partner. This key role will oversee the operations of the individual business, driving growth and excellence in funeral and cemetery services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead funeral/cemetery operations in growing market share by building strong relationships with the community, including community businesses and leaders.
  • Provide exceptional personal service to client families, ensuring their experience is of the highest quality, most professional, and ethical.
  • Lead staff by providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities, including setting and achieving their goals.
  • Manage supplier and vendor relationships.
Management and Leadership
  • Analyze revenues and expenses to manage every aspect of our growing businesses.
  • Understand and embrace the importance of talent selection, development, and coaching for business growth opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations for the operation of the funeral home and cemetery.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans to expand exposure of the Business in the community.
  • Manage and prepare capital requests and expenditures.
  • Inspect facilities, grounds, and locations to ensure they meet standards.
Requirements
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-resolution skills and minimal supervision.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cemetery/Funeral Home management.
  • Licensed funeral director and embalmer required.
  • Cemetery Sales & Cemetery Grounds experience.
  • Ability to analyze financial reports and drive business performance.
  • Capacity to drive market growth and explore new prospecting channels.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and ability to execute consistently.
