About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at United Safety and Survivability Corporation. As a key member of our field service team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring timely maintenance and product installation, and providing technical support.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide top-notch customer service during field visits, addressing customer inquiries and resolving technical issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Analyze and diagnose technical problems using industry knowledge and tools, making recommendations for repair or replacement as needed.
  • Schedule and execute on-site installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks efficiently, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions to customers on our products, enhancing their understanding and usage.
  • Evaluate customer requirements and make informed recommendations, presenting solutions that meet their needs and exceed their expectations.
  • Maintain accurate records of field changes, processes, and customer interactions, providing valuable insights for future product development and warranty claims.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to obtain necessary components and parts, ensuring seamless execution of service requests.
  • Produce detailed reports and update Sales Force tickets in a timely manner, maintaining transparency and accountability.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of our products and those from our suppliers, staying up-to-date on new technologies and innovations.
  • Foster positive relationships with customers, building trust and loyalty through excellent communication and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive company growth, develop new products, and improve processes.
  • Manage travel schedules efficiently, processing expenses accurately, and adhering to company policies and safety procedures.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; relevant experience or certifications may be considered in lieu of education.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a technician or similar role, preferably in automotive or transit environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and utilizing hand tools or specialized equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and stand for extended periods (up to 12 hours) while working in various environments.
  • Flexibility regarding working hours and travel, including occasional weekends and overnight stays.
  • A valid driver's license and passport are essential for international travel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise reports and documents.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, with the capacity to build and maintain effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel), with a basic understanding of ERP systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000, depending on location and experience. This figure reflects the value we place on your skills, expertise, and dedication to delivering exceptional results.
